My name is Matthew Exon. I am a computer programmer with a long-term interest in Federated Social Networks. I’ve been using Friendica, and therefore been a part of the Fediverse, since 2011. I am currently studying for a masters in Electrical Engineering.
I enjoy travelling. My long-term ambition is to visit every country in the world. So far I’m somewhere above 100. I’ve lived in the UK, Australia, Germany, China (PRC), Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I currently live in Taipei.
My work has mostly been in C++, but I’ve done plenty of work in PHP, Python, Perl, and various other languages. I was the co-founder and original developer of Chinese indie-music site zaomengshe.com.
